Terriyaki and Ginger Tilapia

  • 4 tilapia fillet (skinless, boneless)
  • sliced ginger
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 4 garlic cloves (I used garlic powder because I didn't have any garlic)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup terriyaki sauce
  • 5 tablespoons water
  • onions (optional)
  1. Marinate tilapia in ginger, salt, pepper (and garlic powder if you don't have fresh garlic) for 15 minutes
  2. In a sauce pan on medium heat, sauté the garlic (and onions) until golden brown
  3. Add the tilapia and ginger to the sauce pan and simmer on medium heat for 5 minutes
  4. Add the teriyaki sauce and water and simmer for about 5-8 minutes, or until tilapia is fully cooked. Flip tilapia halfway through cooking time. Serve with rice and vegetables and enjoy!
Makes 4 servings
