Raw Mars Bars

I've been trying to recreate clean versions of some of the popular chocolate bars, and this is what I've created so far. I was inspired by the raw twix recipe by @liveloveeatraw, but I changed the chocolate layer and the base. I hope you enjoy, these are RAW and GLUTEN FREE








Base:
1 cup pitted dates
1 cup almonds

chocolate layer: 
1 cup peanut butter
4 tbsp maple syrup
2 heaping cocoa powder 
1/3 cup melted coconut oil

caramel layer:
25 medjool dates
2 tbsp melted coconut oil
1 tbsp almond butter
1 tbsp almond milk


Directions: blend the base ingredients in food processor and place in 8x8 inch pan lined with parchment paper. Place in the freezer for 5 minutes. Blend the chocolate layer ingredients and spread 1/2 on top of base. Place in freezer for 5 minutes. Blend the caramel layer and spread on top of chocolate layer. Place in freezer for 5 minutes. Spread the rest of the chocolate layer on top and place in freezer for at least 2 minutes.
